If this morning’s new trailer and poster weren’t enough to sell you on Send Help, the first clip from Sam Raimi‘s darkly comedic survival thriller is playing below.

In the video, undervalued accountant Linda Liddle (Rachel McAdams) is denied a promotion by her entitled new boss, Bradley Preston (Dylan O’Brien) — because, despite being great with numbers, she can’t charm a room, make a deal, or golf.

Little do the colleagues know, they’ll soon be stranded together on a deserted island as the lone survivors of a plane crash. They’ll have to overcome past grievances and work together in order to survive.

Edyll Ismail (“La Brea”), Dennis Haysbert (“24”), Xavier Samuel (The Loves Ones), Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians), Thaneth Warakulnukroh (“Thai Cave Rescue”), and Emma Raimi (Sam Raimi’s daughter) round out the cast.

Damian Shannon & Mark Swift (Freddy vs. Jason, Friday the 13th 2009) penned the script. Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Beetlejuice) composed the score.

Raimi produces alongside Zainab Azizi (65, Don’t Move) for Raimi Productions, with JJ Hook (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Bumblebee) serving as executive producer.

Send Help early sneak preview screenings will take place on January 24 before the film hits theaters and 3D on January 30 via 20th Century Studios.

Dying is not a choice in Whistle, the latest from The Nun director Corin Hardy. Don’t blow it with the new trailer and poster below.

The cursed object horror movie opens in theaters on February 6 via Independent Film Company and Shudder.

It follows a misfit group of unwitting high school students who stumble upon an ancient Aztec Death Whistle. Soon, they discover that blowing the whistle and the terrifying sound it emits will summon their future deaths to hunt them down.

As the body count rises, the friends investigate the origins of the cursed artifact in a desperate effort to stop the horrifying chain of events that they have set in motion.

Dafne Keen (Logan), Sophie Nélisse (“Yellowjackets”), Sky Yang (Rebel Moon), Jhaleil Swaby (“Supergirl”), Ali Skovbye (“Firefly Lane”), Percy Hynes White (“Wednesday”), Michelle Fairley (“Game of Thrones”), and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead) star.

Owen Egerton (Blood Fest) wrote the script, based on his own short story.

David Gross (Room), Whitney Brown (The First Omen), Macdara Kelleher (Evil Dead Rise), and John Keville (Evil Dead Rise) produce. John Friedberg (Longlegs) is among the executive producers.

Whistle is rated R for “strong violent content, gore, drug content, and some language.”

Dark Sky Films has released the unsettling trailer for Dooba Dooba, shot entirely on in-home security cameras and rooted in the analog horror aesthetic popularized by YouTube creators.

Nearly a decade after her brother’s murder, 16-year-old Monroe still needs a babysitter. Amna comes to babysit Monroe and learns that not only is she being watched by security cameras, but she needs to say ‘dooba dooba’ whenever she moves throughout the house to let Monroe know that it’s her.

The night goes on, and Amna becomes increasingly unnerved and Monroe increasingly attached.

Amna Vegha, Betsy Sligh, Winston Haynes, Erin O’Meara, and Billy Hulsey star.

Ehrland Hollingsworth writes and directs in addition to producing alongside Vegha, Sligh, and Josh Harris.

Dooba Dooba won Best Feature at Nightmares Film Festival and Best Horror Film at Midwest WeirdFest, with additional honors from Panic Fest, Unnamed Footage Festival, Another Hole in the Head, and Central Florida Film Festival.

On the heels of making her feature directorial debut with The Chronology of Water, Kristen Stewart has expressed interest in returning to her roots by helming a Twilight reboot.

“I love what all of the directors did with the movies, but they were so themselves and weird and kind of like squirrely and just so present in that time when they didn’t really know what they were yet, like before they blew up,” Stewart told ET at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.

“Imagine if we had, like, a huge budget and a bunch of love and support,” Stewart added. “I would love to readapt—yeah, sure, I’ll do the remake. I’m doing it, I’m committed,” she joked.

Based on the bestselling novels by Stephenie Meyer, the Twilight film saga kicked off in 2008 and concluded in 2012, grossing over $3 billion worldwide in the process.

Stewart would join an impressive clique of directors who tackled the franchise: Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Chris Weitz (New Moon), David Slade (Eclipse), and Bill Condon (Breaking Dawn Parts 1 & 2).

Stewart, of course, starred in all five films as Bella Swan, a teenage girl caught in a love triangle with vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

Midnight Sun, an animated series based on Meyer’s Twilight companion novel told from Edward’s perspective, is in the works at Netflix.

The box office success of twisty thriller The Housemaid, which has taken in over $75 million domestically in its first 17 days of release and $133 million worldwide with international territories continuing to roll out through January, has ensured a sequel is officially on the way.

Lionsgate announced today that it is planning a 2026 production start for the next film in the franchise, The Housemaid’s Secret, based on the second novel in author Freida McFadden’s best-selling trilogy.

Screenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine, who adapted The Housemaid, will return to adapt the sequel. McFadden will also serve as an executive producer.  The project is being developed with an eye for director Paul Feig and stars Sydney Sweeney and Michele Morrone to return. 

“It’s clear from both the global box office and from the outpouring on social media that audiences have responded strongly – and audibly – to the totally unique and truly theatrical experience of The Housemaid and want to know what happens next,” said Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair Adam Fogelson. “We believed in these stories from the very beginning, and we are beyond excited to bring the next chapter of Millie’s story to life on-screen in collaboration with our outstanding creative partners, Todd, Paul, Laura, Carly, Alex, and Sydney. The Housemaid’s Secret is another wildly thrilling book in Freida’s series that has captivated readers worldwide, and we look forward to translating it into a similarly rousing and riotous moviegoing experience.”

In The Housemaid, Millie, trying to escape her past, accepts a position as a live-in housemaid for a wealthy family. But what begins as a dream job quickly unravels into something far more dangerous — a sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power.

I wrote in my review, “It’s a crowd-pleaser through and through, one meant to be seen with a rowdy audience on board with the wild swings taken. Feig and Sonnenshine push the novel’s more outrageous aspects even further, injecting even bigger thrills, twists, and stakes. It’s the type of operatic insanity that practically begs for more.”

While we won’t spoil the ending, we’re ready to see the murderous exploits of The Housemaid continue.
