‘Blood Covenant’ Trailer – Maika Monroe & Joe Keery Summoned in International Horror Anthology

Maika Monroe (Longlegs) and Joe Keery (“Stranger Things”) appear together in the upcoming horror anthology Blood Covenant. Watch the trailer below.

It follows a once-promising horror writer at the lowest point of his life: years without success, drowning in debt, and on the verge of collapse. In desperation, he performs an occult ritual to summon a demon that will grant him the stories he can no longer write.

The pact works — but at a terrible cost. Each tale he creates demands a sacrifice: a pound of flesh. As his fame grows, his body and soul deteriorate, and inspiration becomes inseparable from pain.

Argentinian filmmaker Mariano Cattaneo writes and directs the wraparound, interweaving shorts helmed by Kate Trefry (“Stranger Things”), Spencer KellerBret Miller, Javier Yañez, and Hasan Can Dağli.

The ensemble cast also includes Agustín Olcese, María Eugenia Rigón, and Aria Bedmar.

Cattaneo produces alongside Nicolás Onetti and Michael Kraetzer.

Black Mandala will introduce the project to buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin next month.

‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Stars to Reunite in Psychological Thriller ‘…And Then She Was Gone’

“NCIS: Los Angeles” star Daniela Ruah is re-teaming with Natalia del Riego, who played her daughter on the CBS series, in …And Then She Was Gone, Deadline reports.

Based on Karen McQuestion‘s 2020 novel The Moonlight Child, the psychological thriller will be directed by Tawnia McKiernan and written by Justin Kohlas — both fellow “NCIS: Los Angeles” alumni.

The story follows 19-year-old Niki, a former foster child adjusting to a new way of life in the home of Sharon Lemke. When they notice a mysterious girl in the house next door, the duo investigate and reveal a haunting truth.

Christian Hall is producing for Two Independent Eyes. Executive producers include Ruah, Kohlas, and Riccardo Maddalosso (How to Blow Up a Pipeline).

“I was immediately drawn to both McQuestion’s book and Justin’s screenplay — he has such a wonderful instinct for keeping us on our toes as the plot unfolds,” said said Ruah. “Having worked together for over a decade, I’m very excited to continue telling great stories with Justin, this time in a new role.”

“I immediately fell in love with this book, and the way Justin has adapted it for the screen feels like a slice of Hitchcockian heaven,” added McKiernan. “When Daniela and Natalia came aboard, both actors I’ve had the pleasure of directing before, I didn’t hesitate. With this creative team in place, I knew I had to be part of it.”

“I am grateful to the readers who made The Moonlight Child such a huge success, and I’m excited for the opportunity to see the story evolve as a feature film,” commented McQuestion.

…And Then She Was Gone is scheduled to enter production in the fall.

‘John Rambo’ – Production Has Begun on Brand New Prequel Movie from ‘Rare Exports’ Director

Pop culture icon John Rambo is headed back to the big screen with feature film John Rambo, and this time it’s an origin story prequel with a new actor taking over the classic role.

Bloody Disgusting has learned that John Rambo, the highly anticipated origin story to the legendary franchise, has commenced production in Bangkok, Thailand this week.

Noah Centineo (the upcoming Street Fighter) will star as the one-man fighting force, under the direction of the acclaimed, visceral Jalmari Helander (Rare Exports, Sisu).

The film’s screenplay is by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani (Black Adam, The Mauritanian), and the film will be distributed in theaters by Lionsgate.

John Rambo takes audiences back, years before First Blood, diving deep into the roots and experiences that forged one of the big screen’s most enduring and complex characters.

Centineo will be joined by an exciting ensemble cast including Yao (Sinners), Jason Tobin (“A Thousand Blows”), Quincy Isaiah (“Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty”), Jefferson White (“Yellowstone”), and Tayme Thapthimthong (“The White Lotus”).

Director Jalmari Helander said in a statement this afternoon, “When I was eleven, I saw First Blood for the first time, and it changed my life. Rambo wasn’t just a film to me—it stayed with me growing up and was a defining influence on why I wanted to become a filmmaker. As we begin production on the origin of John Rambo, we’re going back to the beginning.

This is Rambo stripped down, raw, and real—a survival story about endurance, persistence, and lost innocence. It’s an honor to shape this next chapter with deep respect for the character and the legacy, and to bring audiences the start of John Rambo’s journey.”

‘Worldbreaker’ Final Trailer – ‘Session 9’ Director Pits Monsters Against Milla Jovovich & Luke Evans [Exclusive]

Director Brad Anderson (Session 9, The Machinist) is back with the sci-fi action thriller Worldbreaker in theaters on January 30, 2026, and we’re exclusively debuting the Final Trailer this afternoon to whet your appetite. Check it out below and get your tickets now!

Luke Evans (Dracula Untold) and Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil franchise) fight for survival against otherworldly creatures in director Brad Anderson’s Worldbreaker.

The film introduces Breakers — monstrous creatures that infect and mutate humans into killers — that were unleashed when The Stitch tore open the earth. Men are most vulnerable, leaving women to lead the war for humanity’s survival.

Willa’s mother fights on the front lines; her father, a battle-scarred veteran, fled the burning cities with her to a remote island. There, he trains her every day — sword, survival, discipline — preparing her for the moment the Breakers find them.

That moment comes when Willa discovers a lone girl washed ashore from a burning boat. Hiding her from her father, Willa dreams of friendship in a lonely world. But the girl’s infection exposes them, and soon the island is under siege.

With Breakers closing in, Willa and her father make a desperate push for escape. His last stand forces Willa to draw on everything he’s taught her — only to come face to face with the mother she’s only known through legend.

Billie Boullet (“The Worst Witch”) and Mila Harris (No Exit) also star.

Joshua Rollins (Infinite Storm) wrote the screenplay.
