Ahead of the European Film Market in Berlin, HighballTV have provided Bloody Disgusting with the exclusive teaser trailer for their monster anthology film God of Frogs today.
The upcoming horror anthology includes four segments from several different directors, and what’s unique about this project is that each of the tales is centered on the same monster.
In God of Frogs, which is set across four different decades, “Deep in the heart of the jungle exists an elemental creature with an eternal hunger, and every 25 years, it emerges…
“A woman is eaten alive in 1969, a film crew goes missing in 1994, a politician explodes live on television in 2019, and a multinational corporation goes up in flames in 2044.”
Kate Vernon, Juan Chioran, Darius Rathe, Erika Prevost, Ilana Haley, Peter Fernandes, Alexander Eling, Rogrigo Fernandez-Stoll, Sabryn Rock, and Christian Lloyd star.
Directors include Ali Chappell, Natalie Metcalfe, Adrian Bobb and Richard Lee, who have had their films screen at global genre festivals including Sitges, Fantasia, HorrorFest and others. Cinematographers include Caitlin Bevington, Jared Marino, Gaelen Cook, and Mitch Gall.

A24 is getting set to unleash their fantastical nightmare Death of a Unicorn in theaters on March 28, 2025, and the film has received its official rating from the MPA this week.
Death of a Unicorn is rated “R” for “strong violent content, gore, language and some drug use.”

Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd lead the cast of A24’s dark comedy.
In Death of a Unicorn, “A father (Rudd) and daughter (Ortega) accidentally hit and kill a unicorn while en route to a weekend retreat, where his billionaire boss (Richard Grant) seeks to exploit the creature’s miraculous curative properties.”
The upcoming feature is produced by Ari Aster (Beau is Afraid, Misommar). Of particular note for horror fans, horror master John Carpenter will compose music for the film! The score has reportedly been composed by John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies.
Alex Scharfman (Resurrection, Lyle) directed the film, which also stars Téa Leoni (Jurassic Park III, Spanglish), Will Poulter (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), Anthony Carrigan (Bill & Ted Face the Music, “Barry”), Sunita Mani (“Servant,” “Glow”), Jessica Hynes (Shaun of the Dead, Paddington 2), and Stephen Park (Asteroid City).

Emile Hirsch is set to topline The Condemnation, a supernatural thriller based on true events.
The Autopsy of Jane Doe star will play an aspiring journalist who’s given an investigative assignment by a prestigious newspaper to write a story on Peru’s Casa Matusita, one of the world’s most famous haunted houses.
Notorious for ghost sightings, murders, suicides, and an infamous massacre, the house becomes a temporary home for the journalist and his wife. But as the couple settle in, strange and terrifying events unfold which lead them to seek the help of a local priest who has a dark history with the house.
Filming is set to begin in April under Peruvian-American writer-director Catherine C. Pirotta.
Luminosity Pictures president Daniel Diamond (Winchester, Tekken) will produce with Brad Epstein (About a Boy, Dan in Real Life) and Farouk Hadef.
“Elevated genre movies that are not only very scary but also character driven and based on phenomenal actual events are always appealing to a broad worldwide audience,” said Diamond.
“Emile Hirsch is one of the most talented and engaging actors of his generation,” Pirotta added. “His body of work includes wonderfully diverse and complicated characters which he has portrayed in transformative ways, and I am excited to be working with him to bring this story to life.”
Luminosity is launching sales on the title at the European Film Market in Berlin.
The Casa Matusita is an actual paranormal hot spot located in the center of Lima, Peru. Urban legends surrounding the building date back to the mid-18th century.

A weekend getaway to meet the parents turns into a terrifyingly funny fight against a poltergeist in Max Original film The Parenting, set to debut next month.
Look for The Parenting to arrive on Max on March 13, 2025.
The film follows “young couple Rohan and Josh as they plan a perfect weekend getaway in the country to introduce their parents. As tensions begin to flare between the more traditional Sharon and Frank and the laid-back Liddy and Cliff, the families soon realize that their rental – managed by eccentric local Brenda – is haunted by the presence of a 400-year-old poltergeist. When one parent becomes thoroughly possessed, it’s up to the young couple and their meddlesome BFF Sara to unite the families and stop the evil entity once and for all.”
The comedy horror movie also boasts an impressive cast. The Parenting stars Nik Dodani (Rohan), Brandon Flynn (Josh), Brian Cox (Frank), Edie Falco (Sharon), Lisa Kudrow (Liddy), Dean Norris (Cliff), Parker Posey (Brenda), and Vivian Bang (Sara).
The film hails from director Craig Johnson (The Skeleton Twins) and “Saturday Night Live” scribe Kent Sublette. It’s produced by Chris Bender and Jake Weiner; executive producers include Richard Brener, Chris Pan, David Neustadter, and Jared Ian Goldman.
