As tensions spiral and desperation takes hold, a twisted power struggle unfolds, leading to betrayal, violence, and the deaths of half the colony.
Noah Pink (Tetris) wrote the screenplay, based on a story he conceived with Howard.
AGC Studios and Imagine Entertainment are behind the film, with Howard producing alongside Brian Grazer, Karen Lunder, Stuart Ford, William M. Connor, and Patrick Newall.
Eden premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last September before being acquired by Vertical.

Could anything stop them?” You might remember this line from the original trailer for The Giant Spider Invasion, a 1975 creature feature from director Bill Rebane that Mystery Science Theater 3000 gave new life to back in 1997.
Decades later, The Giant Spider Invasion is once again set to make a return next year with a brand new version of the movie featuring newly shot scenes, Green Bay Press Gazette reports.
The outlet details, “Bill Rebane and a group of writers, actors and filmmakers from Wisconsin hope to shine a spotlight anew on the movie. They plan to add scenes and characters into the original and fix some of the mistakes that have made Rebane cringe for decades.”
“These additions are designed to preserve the integrity and characters of the original while enhancing the story,” the team announced via press release. “The result is a hybrid release that respects the past while innovating for the future.” It’s expected sometime next year.
“Whenever I watched the movie over the last 50 years, I saw so many little flaws, cringing moments,” Rebane reveals. “Those are the things that I’m trying to take out right now.”

Here for Blood star Joelle Farrow and “Teacup” actor Emilie Bierre have joined high school horror movie Lice, which has also wrapped production in Canada.
Filmmaker Jonathan Bensimon makes his feature directorial debut from a script written by Anthony Musella and Shaun Harris (The Hemingway Thief), and it’s being described as “The Breakfast Club meets Lord of the Flies.”
Farrow and Bierre join previously announced leads Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), Justin Long (Barbarian, Jeepers Creepers) and Kevin Connolly (Entourage, The Notebook).
Lice follows “a deadly outbreak of the parasite at a Long Island high school in the 1980s. When the school goes under military lockdown, the itch-crazed students turn on each other in a desperate struggle to survive. Emile Hirsch stars as burned-out science teacher Mr. Shanker, who finds new purpose as he investigates the bloodthirsty mites, Justin Long as Principal Van, a man who is out of his depth and soon out of his mind, and Connolly as the tenacious Detective Sikorski, the desperate cop on the outside racing against time to contain the outbreak before it consumes the entire town.”
It’s also described as a retro throwback blending body horror and biting satire with practical effects; the film pays homage to ’80s cult classics but with a bold, modern twist.
“I was thrilled to be asked to join this ride,” said Bierre. “What immediately drew me in was Jonathan’s unique vision for the film — it’s creepy, imaginative, and completely unexpected. I’m very excited for all horror fans to discover what we’ve been working on.”

The ensemble cast also features Riley Davis, Tom Keat, Annamarie Kasper, Cooper Levy, Christian Meer, Gage Munroe, Devyn Nekoda, Sabrina Saudin, and Milton Torres Lara.

After failing to keep his wife’s dying wish, a man believes he’s being haunted for revenge in Bury Me When I’m Dead.
The psychological horror thriller will be released on VOD in the US on July 18 and in the UK on July 28 via Vertical Entertainment.
It marks the feature debut of writer-director Seabold Krebs, who cites Possession and Jacob’s Ladder among his inspirations.
The film follows Henry as his life spirals out of control. When Catherine is diagnosed with brain cancer, they travel to her childhood home, where he promises to bury her in a remote forest. Meanwhile Henry’s been keeping a secret: their friend Rebecca is pregnant with his child. After Catherine’s sudden death, Henry breaks his promise and returns her body to the city under threat from her powerful father, Gary.
The weight of Henry’s betrayal to Catherine and fear of her overbearing father pushes him to the edge. As his life quickly begins to unravel, a series of increasingly strange and devastating events lead him to believe that Catherine’s ghost is seeking vengeance. With danger lurking around every corner, Henry resorts to desperate measures to protect himself, Rebecca, and their unborn child.
