‘The Life of Chuck’ – Mike Flanagan & Kate Siegel Spotlight the Horror Stars in Stephen King Movie [Video]

Mike Flanagan and Stephen King are a match made in the heavenly cosmos for NEON’s The Life of Chuck, which expands to theaters nationwide beginning tonight, June 12.

It’s important to note that The Life of Chuck isn’t a horror movie from Flanagan and King this time around, but that doesn’t mean the movie isn’t packed with beloved horror stars.

In this exclusive clip, Mike Flanagan and star Kate Siegel discuss the horror icons featured in the cast of The Life of Chuck, including A Nightmare on Elm Street legend Heather Langenkamp, Scream‘s Matthew Lillard, and Late Night with the Devil‘s David Dastmalchian. And that’s just the beginning. Watch the exclusive featurette below.

“The similarities between The Life of Chuck and a horror movie is that the emotional stakes are so epic in this film,” Matthew Lillard previews in the new featurette video.

Written and directed by Flanagan, the film celebrates the life of Charles ‘Chuck’ Krantz as he experiences the wonder of love, heartbreak of loss, and the multitudes contained in all of us.

Tom Hiddleston, Jacob Tremblay, and Benjamin Pajak each play the titular character at different points in his life. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Annalise Basso, Mia Sara, Matthew Lillard, Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Harvey Guillen, Kate Siegel, and Mark Hamill co-star alongside Heather Langenkamp, Rahul Kohli, David Dastmalchian, Violet McGraw, Hamish Linklater, and Nick Offerman as the narrator.

The Life of Chuck marks Flanagan’s third King adaptation, following Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep. He’s in pre-production on a “Carrie” series and developing a Dark Tower series.
