Quiver Distribution is telling the horrific story of The Girl Who Got Away, which follows a survivor of a female serial killer who must confront her past and is now streaming on SCREAMBOX.

Written and directed by Michael Morrissey, the film stars Audrey Grace Marshall  (The Flight Attendant), Anni Krueger (Werewolves Within), Chukwudi Iwuji (John Wick: Chapter 2), Geoffrey Cantor (Daredevil), and Ned Van Zandt (The Blacklist) with Lexi Johnson.

The long-awaited adaptation of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot from director Gary Dauberman (Annabelle Comes Home) is finally seeing release later this year, with a Vanity Fair preview piece today revealing that it’s going straight-to-streaming on Max in October 2024.

Stephen King had recently tweeted praise for the film. He wrote earlier this year, “I’ve seen the new SALEM’S LOT and it’s quite good. Old-school horror filmmaking: slow build, big payoff. Not sure why WB is holding it back; not like it’s embarrassing, or anything.”

Salem’s Lot 2024 is set “circa 1975 (when King’s book was first published).”

In Salem’s Lot 2024, “Haunted by an incident from his childhood, author Ben Mears returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover the town is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire and his loyal servant.”

The cast includes Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, Bill Camp, John Benjamin Hickey, Nicholas Crovetti, Jordan Preston Carter, William Sadler, Spencer Treat Clark, Cade Woodward, Debra Christofferson, and Pilou Asbaek.

Dauberman’s creative team includes director of photography Michael Burgess (Annabelle Comes Home, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It), production designer Marc Fisichella (Ma, The Maze Runner), editor Luke Ciarrocchi (Glass, Split), composers Nathan Barr (The House with a Clock in Its Walls, The Great) and Lisbeth Scott (American Son, Tumble Leaf), costume designer Virginia Johnson (The New Mutants, Mile 22), and first assistant director Jeffrey “JP” Wetzel (Malignant, Annabelle Comes Home).

Fresh off Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Tobe Hooper directed the very first adaptation of Salem’s Lot back in 1979, and a new mini-series followed in its wake more recently, in 2004.

The M3GAN Universe will also be expanding next year with a spinoff horror movie titled SOULM8TE, starring Lily Sullivan (Evil Dead Rise, Monolith). After popping heads as Victoria Neuman on Prime Video’s “The Boys,” Deadline reports that actor Claudia Doumit has joined the cast of the horror spinoff.

The spinoff is being billed as a ’90s-style erotic thriller with a “new technological twist,” and it’s coming to theaters on January 2, 2026.

Doumit will star opposite previously announced leads Sullivan and David Rysdahl, but character details are currently under wraps.

SOULM8TE follows along as “a man (Rysdahl) acquires an Artificially Intelligent android (Sullivan) to help him cope with the recent loss of his deceased wife. In an attempt to create a truly sentient partner, the man inadvertently turns a harmless lovebot into a deadly soulmate.”

Kate Dolan (You Are Not My Mother) will direct. The filmmaker rewrote an original draft from Rafael Jordan (Salvage Marines), which was based on a story by James Wan, Ingrid Bisu and Jordan. It’s said to be far more risqué than its parent film.

“Fundamentally, I view this film as an exploration of relationships and loneliness,” Dolan said in a recent statement. “Despite technological advances, there are enduring human truths we cannot escape, and I am looking forward to delving into those depths.”

“SOULM8TE is a thrilling and seductive addition to the M3GAN universe. We’re excited to partner with Kate to bring this story to life with her unique cinematic vision and point of view,” said James Wan, who produces through his company Atomic Monster.

M3GAN was a massive viral hit for Blumhouse back in 2022, the film scaring up $180 million at the worldwide box office. It’s no secret why Blumhouse is all-in on all things M3GAN.

Wan and Jason Blum will produce, with Michael Clear and Judson Scott of Wan’s Atomic Monster exec producing alongside Ingrid Bisu. Alayna Glasthal is the executive overseeing the project for Atomic Monster.

Conor is entranced by Frankie’s promises of wild and freaky adventures, just a phone call away – could this be the recipe to spice up his flavorless life?

Joe Lipsett wrote in his review out of Fantasia, “Like PG, Frankie Freako channels a chaotic energy that makes for a breezy, easy to watch 80-minute film. It’s delightful, it’s silly, and it’s often extremely entertaining. Samara Weaving (Ready or Not, Scream VI) leads the cast of the upcoming Azrael from writer Simon Barrett (The Guest, You’re Next), with a brand new trailer setting up an intense bid for her character’s survival against a horde of enemies, some inhuman.

IFC Films will release the film in theaters on September 27, 2024.

Watch the new trailer below to get a tease of the horror action in a world largely without dialogue. The title may also be a huge hint, referencing an angel of death.

The high concept action-horror film from Republic Pictures stars Samara Weaving and was directed by E.L. Katz (Channel Zero, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Cheap Thrills) from an original script by Simon Barrett (The Guest, You’re Next, Godzilla x Kong).

“In a world in which no one speaks, a devout female-led community hunts down a young woman (Weaving) who has escaped her imprisonment.
