Art the Clown isn’t done terrorizing Miles County.

Our highly anticipated Terrifier 3 is gearing up for a release this Halloween season and creator/director Damien Leone is hard at work editing this beast of a sequel that’s going to bring Art home for the holidays.

Filming has wrapped and the majority of the cast has been announced, except the following additions:

• Antonella Rose – Actress on AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead”.
• Krsy Fox – Filmmaker and actress (Allegoria, Bury the Bride).
• Clint Howard – A genre favorite who appeared in Evilspeak, Ice Cream Man, Halloween, The Lords of Salem, and 3 From Hell.
• Jon Abrahams – You might remember him from Scary Movie, Wes Craven’s They, and House of Wax.

In Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting’s Terrifier 3, directed once again by Damien Leone, Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) is set to unleash another round of chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.

Returning cast includes Lauren LaVera (Sienna), Samantha Scaffidi (Victoria Heyes), Elliot Fullam (Jonathan Shaw) and AEW superstar Chris Jericho (Burke), with Daniel Roebuck set to debut as Santa Claus. Makeup effects legend Tom Savini will also appear, as will Jason Patric (The Lost Boys, Narc).

Terrifier 3 opens exclusively in theaters nationwide on October 11, 2024.

Joe Swanberg (V/H/S, Drinking Buddies, Happy Christmas) and Yale Entertainment have wrapped production on five upcoming horror movies, Deadline reports this week.

Deadline details, “Swanberg’s slate of horror films with Yale Entertainment was inspired by the producing exploits of Roger Corman.” The lineup includes the following projects:

• Helldorado
• Kenneled
• Yellow Eyes
• Monkey’s Magic Merry Go Round
• Untitled Jae Matthews Project

Swanberg said in a statement, “I was very lucky to team with Yale Entertainment, who understood the model and were excited to try the most ambitious version of producing five features back-to-back. Using my resources from 20 years in Chicago, combined with support from the great team at Yale and my co-producer Ben Gojer, we have brought five incredible projects to life, each led by exciting early career filmmakers with huge futures.”

Here’s everything you need to know about each of the five movies…

“Written and directed by Kansas Bowling (Cuddly Toys), Helldorado watches as Queho, a Native American serial killer with a checkered past, takes out the people of a struggling mining town in the stark deserts of Nevada one by one, with the town Deputy right on his tail.

“Written by H.K. Moore and directed by Jay Burleson (The Nobodies), Kenneled follows a destitute dog walker who finds a wealthy client who saves him from financial ruin. But this is no ordinary dog.

“Written by Mickey Solis and directed by Jesse Korman, Yellow Eyes watches as a young couple inherits a house containing a mysterious relic that hosts the spirit of a powerful demon, and the wife of the man it possesses must find an exorcist to save him.

“Directed by Aidan Leary from his script written with C.R. Thompson, in his feature debut, Monkey’s Magic Merry Go Round watches as a children’s TV show host, ensnared in a case of amnesia, must confront his missing memories as his puppet co-stars turn on him.

“In the untitled feature written and directed by Jae Matthews, a young woman will do anything to avoid her ex at a secluded house party. But a supernatural virus passing through the partygoers may take care of him for her.”

Collectors of physical media like myself have been waiting for Toho’s Godzilla Minus One to hit Blu-ray here in the United States, and today we’ve learned that the wait is ALMOST over.

Godzilla Minus One and the black & white version Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color are coming to Blu-ray with the “Deluxe Japan Collector’s Edition,” now up for pre-order!

Exclusively available in the Godzilla Store, it’s scheduled to ship in September 2024.

This Godzilla Store Exclusive mirrors the deluxe 4-disc box set released on May 1, 2024 in Japan, and includes both Godzilla Minus One and Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color. 

Preserving the Japanese treatment in both packaging and content, the “Deluxe Japan Collector’s Edition” includes all the same features as the original Japan release with the added addition of English menus and the option to select the theatrical release English subtitles for Godzilla Minus One and Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color. 

With an estimated ship date of September 2024, this $65 special edition will be a limited release and the first opportunity to own Godzilla Minus One home video in the US.

Director Maggie Gyllenhaal is bringing the iconic Bride of Frankenstein back to life for upcoming feature film The Bride!, and the film has received a new date from Warner Bros.

Originally set for release October 3, The Bride! will now release September 26, 2025.

Christian Bale is Frankenstein’s Monster, with Jessie Buckley as the titular Bride.

Jake Gyllenhaal will also have a role in the film.

The upcoming film “sees a lonely Frankenstein travel to 1930s Chicago to seek the aide of a Dr. Euphronius in creating a companion for himself. The two reinvigorate a murdered young woman and the Bride is born. She is beyond what either of them intended, igniting a combustible romance, the attention of the police and a wild and radical social movement.”

The Bride! will also star Penelope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard, and Annette Bening (Nyad).

In the original 1935 film from director James Whale, “After recovering from injuries sustained in the mob attack upon himself and his creation, Dr. Frankenstein (Colin Clive) falls under the control of his former mentor, Dr. Pretorius (Ernest Thesiger), who insists the now-chastened doctor resume his experiments in creating new life. Meanwhile, the Monster (Boris Karloff) remains on the run from those who wish to destroy him without understanding that his intentions are generally good despite his lack of socialization and self-control.”

There are currently eight films in The Conjuring Universe, and as we recently learned, a ninth movie is actively in development. Last we heard, Michael Chaves (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, The Nun II) is returning to the franchise to direct The Conjuring 4, which is reportedly said to be the final installment in the main series of The Conjuring movies.

The Conjuring 4 will release in theaters September 5, 2025.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are both expected to return.

David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (The Conjuring 2) wrote the screenplay for the fourth movie. Franchise mainstays James Wan and Peter Safran are on board to produce.

The Conjuring films are based on the real-life case files of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga respectively.

In addition to another movie, The Conjuring is also headed to the small screen. A series for Max was originally announced in April 2023, and development continues here in 2024.
